But you may have missed some parts of the Bible that are too difficult to explain in church. 🤔

For example, how many times have you ever heard a sermon in church on New Jerusalem?

According to the Book of Revelation, New Jerusalem is:

1. 🧊 a giant UFO cube

2. 🌎 the size of a continent

3. ✨ covered in glowing lights

4. 🌌 that descends on Earth from a higher dimension.

I know learning isn’t fun, but you need to care about this stuff, because our world is changing faster than ever before:

• ⚡️ We communicate with light.

• 🧬 We edit our genes.

• 🤖 We build machines in our own image.

And yet we still think the Bible is just about getting into heaven when we die? 👼

No wonder spiritual seekers drift towards TED Talks and tarot cards. 🃏

Christianity was never meant to be a medieval institution:

1. 🌌 The Bible proclaimed the world was round, and floated in space, in an ever expanding universe, thousands of years before Newton and Einstein.

2. 🦕 The Bible accurately described dinosaurs thousands of years before the first fossil was discovered by William Buckland in 1824.

3. 🛜 The Bible predicted the Internet (many will search and knowledge will multiply), thousands of years before Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web in 1993.

4. 🧘‍♀️ The Bible encouraged psychic communications (prayer) thousands of years before Diane Hennacy demonstrated it in The Telepathy Tapes.

5. 🔮 The Bible described remote viewing thousands of years before the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency began weaponizing it with Project Stargate in the 1970’s.

6. 🛸 The Bible knew about the cubes, spheres, and other shapes flying around our skies thousands of years before the UFO crash near Roswell, New Mexico in 1947.

I spent the last fifteen years searching the Bible for signs of

1. 🤖 artificial intelligence

2. 🛸 advanced technologies and a

It’s true.

That journey included

• 🎒 living a full year with only 25 pounds of total possessions (12kg)

⚠️ Dangers of “For Profit” AI

I know this story is already crazy, but stay with me. I spent twenty years researching computer science and the Bible. That journey included:

We barely understand the technology inside our own bodies. For example, you know all those woo-woo people who think crystals have energy? 🧌

Well, your bones are crystals that generate their own electricity with every step you take.

Chapter 7: Origin Stories

There is no chance that Darwinian Evolution is true. 🚫

Especially whatever version you learned in 9th grade Biology from a textbook that predated the Internet.

Here is the dumbest reason why.

Our global population doubles every 50 years.👇

At that rate ☝️ any 2 humans would produce our current population
(8.5 billion people) in just 2,000 years.

2 x 2 (33 times) = 8.58 billion

33 doublings * 50 years each = 1,650 years

Even if our historical population doubling rate ☝️ was 10 times slower because of war and disease, our total population would still double 2,000 times per 1 million years.

That means we need to double our current population 1,977 more times before “millions of years” starts to make sense.

Here’s how my superhuman iPhone calculates that number:

As in Overflow the entire universe.

2 ^ 2000 is so huge, it’s more than all the stars, in all the galaxies.

So where are all those dead bodies? ☠️🤷‍♂️

The Neighbors

Imagine you get a knock on your front door one day, and when you open it up, there are two grey aliens with giant eyeballs staring at you. Your first instinct is to run, but then you notice they’re wearing lulu lemon joggers and slurping on fresh smoothies, so you manage to mumble, “Uh. Hello?”

“Sup!” they say. “We come in peace. We’re from a star system just down the Milky Way. We wanted to drop by and say welcome to the neighborhood. We even brought you a gift”. 🎁

The aliens teach you their names and show you photos of their kids, so you invite them in for tea and cookies. After some chitchat, the aliens explain that they have been monitoring the Earth, very closely, for millions of years. They pull out their “holographic presentation thingy”, and show you the Earth 10,000 years ago, which is naturally teeming with all kinds of plants and wildlife.

As the aliens slowly march forward in time, they show you how every location on Earth suffered CATASTROPHIC LOSS OF LIFE within a few centuries of first contact with humans. So you watch one-by-one as plant and animal populations collapse EVERYWHERE WE GO. Every culture. Every continent. Everywhere.

When the timeline reaches the Industrial Revolution, you witness local economies all around the world fill the air and rivers with industrial waste. These decimates wildlife in the rivers and seas.

All that’s left is a fallow planet littered with fences and endless rows of monoculture farming, which are highly susceptible to disease.

When the timeline reaches today, you can see every place humans have settled turns into one giant dumpster fire.

Literally.

We have a Great Pacific Garbage Patch choking out our marine life, while our forests burn to the ground. 🗑️🔥

The aliens confess that the rest of the galaxy is super worried about us. They’ve already seen what we do to every plant, animal, and person who is weaker than us. We obliterate them. We are the DESTROYERS OF WORLDS, even on our own world.

How dumb is that?

The aliens explain that is normally no big whoop, but when Oppenheimer detonated the first atomic bomb in 1947, we inadvertently sent a quantum signal to the rest of the universe that we are preparing for interstellar travel. That’s why so many UFO’s keep showing up today—they’re checking on our progress.

“Oh wow”, you say. “I didn’t realize humans were so horrible to every single form of life, everywhere, all-the-time.”

“Oh wonderful. We were hoping you would say that. See, our alien civilization has the technology to make new planets. It’s actually a standard feature in our version of the iPhone. So we have already made an entirely new Second Earth for you guys to have.”

“For reals?”, you ask.

“For reals. We already harvested the DNA from all your creatures. We populated Second Earth with every creature from First Earth. How awesome is that? Second Earth has the same continents, oceans, rivers, plants, and animals. It’s exactly like First Earth in every way, except it doesn’t have humans. Next week we are going to ✨quantum-space-jump✨ the Second Earth directly into 💞binary orbit💞 with First Earth, replacing the moon, so humans can go back and forth between the twin planets if they want.”

As you walk to the kitchen to get more cookies for the aliens, you say, “That’s great guys. Sounds like Earth’s environmental problems are solved. So why are you telling me? Like, why did you show up and knock on my door?” 🤷‍♀️

“Well”, the aliens say, “our ai superbots monitor all the Earth’s communications and they noticed you often complain about everyone else, including the ways they ruin the planet. So after a lot of deliberation by our “intergalactic senate”, we have chosen YOU to be SOLE RULER of Second Earth. Congratulations.” 🫵👑

The aliens explain, “You can have Second Earth, free of charge, but we do have one condition. Anyone that you invite to live on Second Earth must be given their land for free, just like you. And don’t worry about invasions from First Earth. Second Earth is protected by our alien forcefield that is completely magical to you.” 😉

The aliens invite you aboard their spaceship to see Second Earth, and it’s incredible. Second Earth is teaming with life. It has clean rivers and looks like our world 10,000 years ago. The aliens give you the keys to their magical forcefield and return you to your house on First Earth.

They give you two weeks to decide ALL THE NEW LAWS that will govern Second Earth. ✌️

The reason I ask all these policy questions is because the dumpster fire we have on Earth today is a result of Failed Policies.

Our economy has completely ruined our planet, but it’s not a failure of Capitalism.

For example, the reason there are no beavers left in America is because John Jacob Astor wanted to be a billionaire (just like every other person). When white people arrived in America, there were 40-60 million beavers that lived here. Imagine how wet our forests would be today with 40-60 million more beavers living in them. Have a look at what happens when beavers are introduced to bone dry desserts.

During the colonization of America, each beaver pelt traded for about $180 in 2023 money. So why wouldn’t John Jacob Astor finance expeditions to go harvest them all? He wasn’t breaking any laws. He didn’t avoid any beaver pelt taxes. He simply “privatized” wild animals that may or may not have been “public”. Eventually, Astor used his beaver money to buy half of Manhattan and then a first-class ride on the Titanic. 🤑

Thankfully, the Astors are huge supporters of the Metropolitan Museum of Art which we all get to enjoy today. I have spent weeks in that museum so I’m still kinda torn on whether I care about those 40 million beavers. Like, maybe 1 million dead beavers is a good trade for the Met’s entire Egyptian collection. 🤣

Blaming all that loss of biodiversity on one guy is an oversimplification, but the point is still true:

Unchecked capitalism will destroy any environment on any planet.

I’m a realist, so I’m a strong believer in capitalism. We desperately need entrepreneurs to solve difficult problems that the rest of us are too busy, too lazy, too stupid, or too scared to solve. The only way that’s going to be worth it is if founder’s receive an outsized share of the economic value that gets created by solving those difficult problems. Capitalism isn’t good or bad. Capitalism makes you more of who you already are.” If you were generous before becoming rich, you’ll become more generous. If you were greedy before becoming rich, you’ll become more greedy. If you were dishonest before becoming rich, you’ll become more dishonest.

Unfortunately, it only takes a few bad actors to ruin the entire global environment so we can no longer rely on capitalism to self-regulate. That’s preposterous. America should be absolutely ashamed of itself for failing to implement a Carbon Tax with serious teeth. America is already responsible for 25% of Earth’s historical carbon emissions. We have literally overcooked our own economy on coal and petroleum for decades despite the overwhelming scientific research. Yuck. The British pay more taxes on British Petroleum (BP) than Americans do. Think about that. If the taxes on Carbon were more severe, entrepreneurs would race in to capitalize on that opportunity.

Fines for environmental contamination should make companies so fearful that it’s actually less expensive to invest in the policies and procedures that prevent the contamination from happening in the first place. The reality is we only have one planet Earth. Look around, space is lonely. We have to start cleaning up our planet and the only way that is going to happen is with stronger environmental policy.

Rural subsidy policies are just as bad for our environment. Taxes and fines “prune” behaviors from an economy while subsidies and redistributions “fertilize” behaviors into an economy, right? Well how many more decades are we going to subsidize corn and sugar? Americans are already exploding out of our oversized jeans. I understand why we need to over produce those calories as insurance against famine, but what about all the other economic redistributions from cities into rural communities?

Why are we preserving those ways of life?

The only serious reason that we should subsidize rural communities is called Violent Barbie Jeep Racing. Now you probably think I’m joking, and I am, but Violent Barbie Jeep Racing is no joke.

I’ve lived in the poorest, ruralest communities in our country. In those places, bravery is a currency. For example, as kids we used to play a game called “tree tackling”. On the coldest winter days we would pile on the sweaters and try to knock over dead trees like we were football linebackers. Bravery points were awarded based on how far away you were from the tree when you selected it for tackling.

I loved living in those small towns, but the amount of land required to sustain a single person outside of cities is a huge opportunity cost to the biodiversity that could inhabit that same land. In 2020, 51% of all farms in America earned less than $10,000 in sales while consuming an average of 81 acres of land. Let’s read that again.

Fifty-one percent of all farms. Less than ten thousand dollars per year. 

That’s $123 of revenue per acre per year. For that much money, those farms would be better off raising beavers. Countries ought to have a beaver pelt law. If you can’t make more than five beaver pelts of revenue on an acre, the state needs to eminent domain that acre and turn it back over to actual beavers. Like we should get the beavers a little deed to the property and everything.

So 51% of farms in America make a few beaver pelts per acre per year. See why that whole John Jacob Astor story was important?

The next 30.4% of all farms in America earned less than $100,000 in sales and consumed an average of 304 acres of land. So that means between 50-80% of all farms operating in America today provide poor economic returns on their land.

I don’t know what the right answer is for redistributions and subsidies into rural farm lands, but I think the next few decades are going to be transformative.

There is already a huge discrepancy in the economic efficiency between the smallest farms and the largest. New robots, new sensor networks, and new water management techniques managed by artificial intelligence will dramatically increase this discrepancy. In the future, our economy will deflate the price of non-industrial farmland as long as politicians don’t continue to subsidize the rural lifestyle. It’s already a poor economic use of private capital.

We don’t need to bring back coal jobs and we don’t need to bring back farm jobs. Robots and clean electricity are our future, so let’s use policy to propel our economy further in that direction. The economics that underpin the price of solar electricity are plummeting right now and the Sun emits 90,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 calories of free energy every single second.

Eventually clean water will become more expensive to the production of healthy calories than the land. Why grow the whole cow when all we want are the ribeyes? I hope bioreactors literally decimate the price of non-industrial farmland so we can actually have one chance to rewild our wild.

Digital Twins

It’s shockingly easy to create your own digital twin. It only takes a few minutes. I’ll show you how to do it step-by-step later in the story.

That main thing you’ll need to create a digital twin is a writing sample that shows how you think. Fortunately, I spent the last two publishing my scientific research as an online book, called Uncertainty: The Computer Science of Everything.

Uncertainty is about 200,000 words, which is a lot of words for a human to read. But when I convert them into a text-file, it’s only 1.1 megabytes of training data for a computer. 🦾

So I can get a digital neural network to believe everything I believe about everything—and mimic everything I say about everything—using only one 3.5-inch floppy disk of data.

⚠️ Dangers of Ai Alignment

In the near future, everyone will have their own digital-twins for one simple reason:

There are several ways Ai can align with you:

• Fully-aligned — The chatbots or robots always choose in your best interest. Think of this like fiduciary duty, but for information and labor.

• Partially-aligned — You get some benefits from the Ai, and the Ai gets some benefits from you. Most Ai in the world are partially-aligned with us.

• Mis-aligned — The chatbot or robot steals money, personal data, or seconds of attention from you on behalf of Big Tech, criminal enterprises, or foreign militaries. #whatsthedifference?

Ai-alignment is probably the biggest problem you’ve never heard of. And our smartest nerds have no idea how to solve it. It’s the biggest crisis of our lifetime. I’m not joking:

Ai-alignment might be the biggest crisis in all of eternity. I’m not joking about that either:

The only way you can know how an Ai is aligned with you is by reading its “system prompt”. 🤓

A system prompt is a specialized type of prompt used in AI language models that sets the overall context, behavior, or persona for the AI's responses. It acts as a foundational instruction set that guides the model's conduct throughout an interaction, often without being directly visible to the end-user. 🤫

So inside each Ai, there is a system prompt that governs its behavior. These prompts are secret. Unless you can personally read the system prompt of an Ai, you shouldn’t fully trust it. Remember that. ☝️

If an Ai, or its creator, won’t let you read its system prompt, then the Ai is not “fully-aligned” with you: full-alignment requires full-transparency. Remember that. ☝️

That’s one reason why Big Tech is only “partially-aligned” with us. The Ai that operate our chatbots, emails, and social media newsfeeds have system prompts, right? Big Tech is never going to reveal those system prompts 🐣 to us, but they only want one of three things:

1. 💰 our money

2. 🕵️‍♂️ our personal data, or

3. ⏳ our seconds of attention.

Think about it.

What do the Ai from Google want?

• Your internet history. Your location data. What you watch on YouTube. What you read in the news. What you read in your email. What you see in real life.

What do the Ai from OpenAI (and Microsoft) want?

• More money, more MAU (monthly visitors). OpenAI uses their current MAU to borrow more money, to buy more MAU. All that MAU “mints” the world’s most valuable training data: Today’s data. OpenAI already trained their chatbots on everything else.

😈 Evil Digital Twins

If you thought “partial-alignment” was scary, “mis-alignment” could lead to the end of our world. I mean that literally, figuratively, and actually:

We’re already well on our way. According to Cybersecurity Ventures, the total cost of cyber-fraud in 2023 was 8 TRILLION DOLLARS.

That was 9% of the global economy.

That was before cyber-criminals got access to free, open-source, superhuman chatbots that can mimic anyone on Earth. So everything we have ever posted on social media is now training data for “evil digital twins” to individually attack us, our friends, and our families.

If you receive a scam-email that installs malware to drain all your bank accounts—that email could just as easily come from your mom, as North Korea. 🤖🤰

“Evil-digital-twins” can appear as anyone who has posted more than 10,000 words on social media. Everything in the future is fake or fakeable. All the way down to the pixels of reality:

If you aren’t terrified, you should be. Terrified enough to stop using the same password everywhere. You shouldn’t even know your passwords. Use a password manager, or the Passwords app on your iPhone. Diversify all your passwords, and turn-on multi-factor authentication, everywhere, TODAY. 🔒🔒

Cyber-criminals aren’t the only people using “evil-digital-twins” against us.

Did you know: Big Tech companies (like Meta, Google, Microsoft, and Amazon) give their advertising customers “behavioral clones” and “synthetic audiences” to TEST new marketing strategies ON YOUR BRAIN before those advertising customers BID on auctions FOR SPACE IN YOUR NEWSFEEDS? 🤖🌪️🧠

No, it’s not fair. Of course it’s not fair. It’s not fair because Big Tech can make digital twins of us way better than we can make for ourselves. That’s because Big Tech collected way more personal data about us, than we collected for ourselves. 🤔

Remember, Big Tech is not “fully-aligned” with us. For example, if you own a Roomba robot vacuum, then Amazon definitely has videos of you and your partner having sex. 💯

Those Amazon videos are way more graphic than this swanky New Yorker-style cartoon from StuartAI. Hopefully your videos won’t end up on Facebook. 😬

Remember, Roomba robot vacuums are “partially-aligned” with you. Yes, they pick up dog hair incredibly well, but they also have floor-to-ceiling cameras that label everything in your house, like this:

This is not a conspiracy theory. I’m trying to wake you up to the “personal data” game.

Personal data is all about making better, more predictable digital-twins, behavioral clones, and synthetic audiences. For example:

• 📸 Amazon acquired iRobot to not only map out our houses, but also take photos of every product we ever purchased in the past.

• 🦻 Google acquired Nest thermostats to listen to all our conversations.

• 👓 Meta wants us to wear ai-glasses for the exact same reason.
